What is Intelligent Charging?
Vehicle identification automatically adjusts charging to your vehicle's battery size. Tariff management prioritises off-peak hours to save money. Plug in at 7 pm and the MX7 will only charge fully when off-peak begins — typically 11 pm onwards.
Can the MX7 integrate with solar PV?
Yes. Auto Solar mode uses surplus solar energy based on CT-clamp measurements. The MX7 prioritises home energy needs first, then directs surplus to EV charging.
What does a standard installation include?
Up to 10m cable run, surge protection, RCD and MCB, certification, DNO and Building Control notification, app registration and a basic demo. Greater London Area only.
What's the difference between tethered and untethered chargers?
A tethered charger comes with a fixed cable attached. An untethered (socket) charger has a Type 2 socket only — you use your own cable. Both deliver the same charging performance.
